Why did we start Muse? I envisioned a salon that views haircare as integral to whole-person treatment. A place where I could foster genuine relationships with clients and provide services tailored to their individual needs, not just focus on hair. I often say, “It’s just hair,” but simultaneously, it’s your hair! It’s exciting to transform your look, whether it’s a subtle shift or a dramatic change.

Finding someone you trust for those transformations, big or small, can be daunting, so my goal is to make that process easier. I aim to build trust and create a comfortable environment for you to explore and enjoy changes in your appearance.

In our hectic lives, I believe in the importance of carving out space for ourselves. That’s why I’ve expanded our offerings to include esthetician services, traditional massage, and bodywork, bringing you beyond the chair into the realm of true self-care.

THE TEAM

Hello! I’m Jennifer, the owner and creator of Muse Beauty Lounge. Originally from Chicago, I relocated to the Austin area and have made Taylor my home for nearly a decade. I cherish the community here, especially as my daughter attends THS and participates in Color Guard.

When I’m not behind the chair, you might find me enjoying a happy hour at 1922 at Old Taylor High, playing pinball at Press Start Arcade, or sipping a beer at the Texas Beer Company with my fiancé Kevin Sejnowski. I also enjoy video games, reading, cooking, and am eager to travel more in the future.

With 20 years of experience in the industry, my journey started with an apprenticeship and work at Wet Salon on South Congress in Austin during the mid-2000s. I later moved to Chicago, managing a salon in Lincoln Park. My training includes precision cutting, Deva cuts, fades, clipper cuts, and Pivot Point techniques. I’ve also worked alongside Registered Color Masters and taken advanced classes in Balayage, color correction, and Vivid color applications.

My passion lies in tailoring hairstyles to meet my clients’ unique needs, ensuring they not only love their look but can easily recreate it at home, whether it’s a full styling or a simple wash-and-wear approach. I’m dedicated to helping you achieve your dream hair with expertise and personalized care.
